Snap Shackles

Fixed -

Commonly used for headsail halyards where the halyard does not become twisted

Swivel -

Generally used for spinnaker halyards, or where the halyard can become twisted

Swivel Large Bail -

Large bail snap shackles are usually used where a second halyard or sheet will be clipped onto the bail as well as the rope.  They  are generally used on spinnaker sheet, and tack lines.
